Thanks for taking the time to explore deeper the strategy of "iGO."  We are excited about sharing with you our approach in living out the vision of BridgePointe Church.  “iGO” will challenge us individually and corporately as a church, to live out Mark 12, while providing the necessary structure for connection and accountability

BridgePointe exists to lead people to salvation in Jesus Christ!

We encourage all followers of Christ to allow God to use them to have an IMPACT on others, to be committed to personal GROWTH in their faith journey, and to have an OUTREACH focus on leading others to Christ.

The three components of “iGO” are Impact, Growth, and Outreach.

IMPACT
The key to having a positive impact is love!  Mark 12 tells us to first love God, and then to love others with the love of Christ that indwells us.  Life is filled with countless opportunities for Impact as we go about everyday living.  At home, work, school, church, and the other activities in which we engage God wants our everyday living to be offered to Him, that we might be used to be a blessing to others!

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you:  Take your
everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and
walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.”

                                          Romans 12:1

The Bible teaches that we each have a responsibility to Impact others through our service.  You are not alone!  We are here to help you get connected in the area of ministry in which you can most effectively serve to have the greatest Impact!  Not sure where you need to serve?  We have tools available to help you discover your unique giftedness.  BridgePointe’s Impact Team Brochure will provide information on Impact opportunities and give clear instructions on how you can get connected.  Brochures are available at Pointe Central located in the lobby of the church or give us a call at the church office.  The bottom line:  We are to Impact others with the love of Christ.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with
                          actions and in truth.
     1 John 3:18

GROWTH
As you can see Growth is right in the middle of “I GO”!  Spiritual Growth is a key factor in becoming a person of Impact and Outreach as we strive to live out Mark 12.  The Bible instructs us to grow!

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him,
rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
              and overflowing with thankfulness.
     Colossians 2:6-7

Spiritual growth is a life long journey.  It is intentional, not accidental.

But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and
recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and
                Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
  II Peter 3:18a

Growth teams (for all ages) have been developed to connect you with others on the faith journey.  These Bible study groups are a great resource for faith development and fellowship.  To learn more, stop by Pointe Central located in the church lobby and pick up a brochure about the specifics of plugging into a Growth Team or give us a call at the church office.

OUTREACH
Jesus tells us in Mark 12 the second greatest commandment is loving “our neighbors”.  Outreach is reaching out to “our neighbors” through the love of Christ to help in meeting both physical and Spiritual needs.  Matthew 14 gives us the account of Jesus feeding the 5000 with five loaves of bread and two fish.  The disciples idea of the people being fed was for Jesus to send them away.

That evening the disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place,
and it is getting late.  Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages
                  and buy food for themselves.”
      Matthew 14:15

Jesus had something else in mind…

But Jesus replied, “That isn’t necessary—you feed them.”    Matthew 14:16

Jesus blessed what they had and it was more than enough!  But he still relied on each disciple to feed the people!  Christ not only entrusted to his followers the responsibility of reaching out to help others in physical need but also to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 28: 18-20 (NIV) Jesus commands us…

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

What an incredible blessing it is to be used by God in leading someone to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior!  Stop by Pointe Central to get a copy of our Outreach Brochure that is designed to be a tool for you in reaching others for Christ!

We are here to serve, encourage, and challenge you to be a person of Impact, Growth, and Outreach.  Please know how much you are valued and loved by God and this church family.  It’s time to... “iGO”
