What to Expect

Join us for worship this Sunday–the very best way to connect with our church community. Each week our church community gathers together to worship Jesus Christ and hear relevant preaching. Each Sunday morning we offer a number of opportunities for you to get involved through our main services, Bible studies, Kidztown ministry (birth-5th grade), and Refresh student ministry (6th grade-12th grade). Each week we welcome many guests just like you!

I would like to visit BridgePointe Church this Sunday. What do I need to know?

We offer two service times at 9:30am and 11:00am. Also during those times we have KidzTown offered for all children birth-5th grade. Student growth teams meet during the 9:30am service and adult growth teams meet during both services. We encourage you to attend one service and a growth team, if interested.

Where is BridgePointe located?

We are located in Wesleyan Park Plaza at 2706 Wesleyan Park Plaza Frederica Street in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Do I need to dress up to attend?

Dress comfortably–our members and guest attend in anything from shorts and shirts to suits and ties. Whatever you feel comfortable wearing, you won’t feel out of place. Come as you are!

Are there Sunday activities for my preschooler or children?

Excellent Bible activities are provided for preschoolers and children, birth through grade 5, during both our morning worship hours. Student programming for grades 6-12 are also available during the 9:30am service. For more information visit our KidzTown or Student pages.

Do I need to bring a Bible to worship?

A Bible is helpful for you to use during the message portion of the service for reference. If you do not have a Bible, copies are available for your use. Pastor Steve teaches from several reputable translations. We recommend both the New International Version (NIV) and the English Standard Version (ESV).

What is BridgePointe’s “style” of music?

In terms of music, we don’t have a “style” that we stick with, although we do more contemporary praise songs and choruses than hymns. Our desire is that our musical worship be uplifting and create a sense of anticipation for the teaching time in the service. Keeping a variety of both music and media makes each service a unique experience.

What does your church believe about the Bible’s teachings?

A listing of our core beliefs can be found here.¬†For the best opportunity to understand our church’s beliefs and to ask questions, consider attending our Discovering BridgePointe¬†class, held periodically.
