Our Vision

The founding passage of this ministry is Mark 12:28-31 where Jesus shares the two greatest commandments.  1).  Love God   2).  Love people.  That is our focus and pursuit. To be a church family that fulfills our vision of the two greatest commandments as spoken by Jesus.  We challenge our people to live out their faith based on three core principles:  REACH, GROW, & CONNECT.  Jesus brings purpose to living, so we should live on purpose!

Principle #1 REACH = R1

  1. Reach people with the gospel of Jesus.
Jesus instructs us, as we go about our daily living we are to be mindful and intentional about
reaching others with the good news of Jesus Christ. Our lives are filled with countless opportunities for Reaching others with the love of Christ. At home, church, school, work, and the other activities in which we engage, God wants our everyday living to be offered to Him so that we might be used to be a blessing to others!
“So wherever you go, make disciples…”   Matthew 28:19 GW
So reach out and welcome one another to God’s glory. Jesus did it; now you do it!  Romans 15:7  The Message
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19a NIV

Principle #2 Grow = G2

To grow…

  1. in our love for Jesus.
  2.  in our love for others.

GROW IN YOUR LOVE FOR JESUS:

Jesus tells us in Mark 12 the first and greatest command is Love God second greatest commandment is loving “our neighbors.”

Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this:  ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.  Mark 12:28-31. NIV

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 NIV

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity… Hebrews 6:1a NIV

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

As you grow in relationship with Christ, the holy spirit will produce maturity and fruit in your life. However, it requires intentionality on your part to engage in this growing process.

GROW IN YOUR LOVE FOR OTHERS:

The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. 6 But some people have missed this whole point. 1 Timothy 1:5-6a  NLT

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.John 13:34 ESV

We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.1 John 4:19-21 ESV

Principle #3 Connect = C3

  1. Connect in Worship.
  2. Connect in Serving.
  3. Connect in Community.

CONNECT IN WORSHIP

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.  John 4:23-24. NLT

Don’t forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the LORD your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of your enemies. 2 Kings 17:38-39 NIV

Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer. Hebrews 10:25 CEV

CONNECT IN SERVING

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.  Galatians 5:13  NLT

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people. Ephesians 6:7  NIV

God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10 NIV

Be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.1 Samuel 12:24 NIV

The greatest among you will be your servant. Matthew 23: 11 NIV

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 NIV

CONNECT IN COMMUNITY:

The idea of community comes from the sense of responsibility we have for each other. In the Bible, God encourages us to take care of each other in the body of Christ. We must remember the importance of maintaining the connection with our church family to ensure a thriving community.

God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. I Corinthians 1:9. NIV

We are telling you what we have seen and heard, so that you may share in this life with us. And we share in it with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.  I John 1:3 CEV

So in Christ we, through many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.Romans 12:5 NIV

All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:44-47 NIV

With these 3 guiding principles we encourage our church family to:

  1. Be faithful in attending one of our two Sunday morning worship services, currently at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.
  2. Use your giftedness in serving the body of Christ at BridgePointe.
  3. Connect with a RGC Group (Reach, Grow, Connect) which is our small groups ministry, consisting of people in similar seasons of life that meet for one hour weekly.  These groups touch on all 3 principles weekly and serve as a great relationship building opportunity. Bible study, fellowship, and accountability are staples of these groups.  RGC groups meet on Sunday mornings 9:30, Sunday mornings 11:00, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings at 6:15.
